![]() ![]() The game calls itself an extraction RPG, but there is no extraction, the level just ends. Once you finish the main objective, it just boots you out of the level and back to the ship. There is no extraction in this extraction RPG. To add onto the previous point, why am I obligated to do a contract? Why can't I just raid a location for the sake of loot? More often than not, I'll be in possession of a full bag of loot that I want to leave with, but I can't leave until I "complete the objective." ![]() Instead, my character is obligated to fulfill the contract even if it means certain death before they can consider leaving. Why can I not leave and forgo finishing the contract? If I enter a facility and realize I am fighting something above my weight class, I should be able to just leave. If a weapon is capable of bypassing/destroying your armor, you're as good as dead and having the proper medicine on you means nothing. Wearing good armor is ideal which is realistic, but there is no purpose in bringing in your own medicine other than the basics. There's pretty much no point in carrying extra medicine because of how lethal wounds are. Why do I need to eat a chicken sandwich every time I enter a new room or otherwise starve to death? You'll find enough food on the guys you kill, but why do we need to eat full-course meals in such a small window of time? I'm here to kill, scavenge, and leave, not eat before and after every firefight. These features are fine, but there is usually no way to survive and rectify these situations, even with high-tier armor. Step in a poisonous puddle that you can't even see because it blends in with the floor texture? Dead. Open a door and find a sentry on the other side? Dead.Ĭheck a corner and immediately get annihilated by something that shouldn't have a clear line of sight on you? Dead. ![]() I like games that don't hold your hand, but this game feels like its pushing you down a staircase and expecting you to enjoy the experience. Whenever you die, its usually so sudden that there is nothing you can do to rectify the situation. I like what this game has to offer, but the game is more frustrating than fun in its current state. ![]()
